Dallas, Texas — September 19, 2008 — Energy Transfer Partners, L.P. reports that its assets in the Texas Gulf Coast were only minimally impacted by Hurricane Ike. Energy Transfer’s pipeline system remained operational during Hurricane Ike and the Partnership continues to move natural gas for producers. Energy Transfer does not expect a material adverse impact on its financial results from this storm.
Additionally, Energy Transfer does not have significant credit exposure to Lehman Brothers or AIG; therefore we do not expect issues related to these companies to have a significant impact on the Partnership.
We want to clearly communicate to our investors and customers that the fundamentals of the Partnership’s business have not been adversely affected by these recent events.
