MidAmerican Energy’s Customer Office Opening in New Location

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – (Oct. 2, 2008) – Beginning Oct. 6, MidAmerican Energy Company customers are invited to do business at the company’s new customer office location at 2000 Wiley Blvd. SW, Suite 108, in Cedar Rapids. The new customer office is located across the street from the U.S. Postal Service’s West Station in the Berry Plaza.
Flooding earlier this year forced the closing of MidAmerican’s former site, 602 D Ave. NW, and the temporary move to offices on the Kirkwood Community College campus. Office hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays.
That temporary office at Kirkwood will close at the end of business Oct. 3 and the new location on Wiley Boulevard will open for customer service beginning Oct. 6.
“We appreciate the assistance of Kirkwood College during this transitional period, and the patience of our customers as we have restructured our customer service operations,” said Terry Ousley, vice president of customer satisfaction. “We look forward to continuing to provide excellent customer service to our MidAmerican customers in Cedar Rapids and the surrounding area.”
