Digital Energy GIS Data – Now Available for Distribution
After much anticipation and requests from our clients, Rextag Strategies is pleased to introduce our Electronic GIS Data. Rextag Strategies is the alternative to high-priced energy data. We offer high-quality reliable energy data under generous user agreement terms, including 1-3 users per dataset and no required yearly subscription. Rextag now distributes this datasets separately per the following commodities:
Natural Gas
Natural Gas Pipeline Layer: Dataset consists of 203 different natural gas pipeline companies with the following attributes: NAME (Pipeline Name, such as: ANR Pipeline, Transco, Columbia Gulf, etc…), TYPE (refers to the classification for the pipeline: Interstate, Intrastate, Offshore, etc…), ZONE (Pipeline zone name when applicable: Zone 1, Market Zone, Pooling Area, etc…), BRM (‘Y’ = Pipeline is featured in our Pipeline Map Book), FULL_NAME ( Full legal name when applicable), FERC_CODE (3-digit Interstate FERC Pipeline Code number when applicable).
Pipeline Compressor Stations Layer:
Dataset consists of 1227 different natural gas compressor facilities in the US with the following attributes: NAME (Compressor Site Name, such as: CS 45, Longview, Henry, ect..); COMPANY (Pipeline Company: TETCO, ANR, etc...)
Gas Processing Plants Layer :
Dataset consists of 516 different natural gas processing facilities in the US with the following attributes: NAME (Site Name, such as: Venice, Henry, ect..); COMPANY (Owner Company: Shell, ExxonMobil, etc...).
Gas Storage Facility Layer:
Dataset consists of 517 different natural gas storage facilities in the US and Canada with the following attributes: NAME (Storage Name, such as: Liberty Gas, Bisteneau, Tioga, etc…), STATUS (Operating, Proposed, etc…), TYPE (Depleted Res., Aquifer, Salt, etc…), OPERATOR (Columbia Gas, ANR Pipeline, etc…), OWNER (El Paso, CenterPoint, etc..), INTSVCDT (In Service Date: 1976, 2000, etc…), INTRPIPE (Interconnecting Pipelines: Texas Gas, NGPL, etc…) RTDESGN (Rate type: Market-Based, Cost, etc..) AND MUCH MORE! (injection, Pad Gas, etc..)
Major Gas Producing Fields Layer:
Dataset consists of 100 top producing gas fields in the US with their NAME.
Crude Oil
Crude Oil Pipeline Layer:
Dataset consists of 89 different crude oil pipeline companies with the following attribute: NAME (Pipeline Name, such as: BP, ConocoPhillips, Genesis, Ashland, etc…).
Crude Oil Refinery Layer:
Dataset consists of all refineries with the following attribute: NAME (Refinery Name, such as: Chevron El Segundo, ExxonMobil Baytown, etc…); BPD (Refining Capacity in BPD: 317,000, 100,000, etc..).
Refined Petroleum Products
Petroleum Product Pipelines: Dataset consists of 109 different petroleum products pipeline companies with the following attribute: NAME (Pipeline Name, such as: Valero/NuStar, Magellan, Buckeye, Sunoco, etc…).
Crude Oil Refinery Layer:
Dataset consists of all refineries with the following attribute: NAME (Refinery Name, such as: Chevron El Segundo, ExxonMobil Baytown, etc…); BPD (Refining Capacity in BPD: 317,000, 100,000, etc..).
Electricity Transmission
Dataset consists of 187 different electric transmission companies with the following attribute: NAME (Transmission Name, such as: PG&E, TXU Electric, Entergy, Ameren, etc…), KV (Transmission line KV: 115, 230, 345, 500, ect…).

Technical Specifications:
Our data is provided in ESRI Shapefile (*.shp) in a NAD 83 projection, digitized at different scales depending on area and/or pipeline.
