It encompasses all gas pipeline capacity flows and information found in Rextag’s 2010 Gas Map Book as well as Rextag’s GIS Meter Points application.

What is GasMapX?

GasMapX comprises a comprehensive, dynamic database of information on pipeline capacities for all major and virtually all minor natural gas interstate/intrastate pipelines – 140 in total. Contains data for all reported meter points: receipt, delivery, throughput, storage, etc.

Rextag collects and standardizes the data, centralizes it in an easy-to-search database; enables the user to compare and contrast historical flow & capacity information.

GasMapX simplifies, synthesizes, and streamlines the full index of customers (shippers) for each pipeline. GasMapX ensures easy access to market prices – all the most recognizable trading points (e.g., Henry Hub, Transco Zone 6, SoCal Border).

GasMapX Mapper delivers dynamic (real-world, real-time) cartographic renderings of desired pipelines, receipt & delivery points, compressor stations, processing plants, LNG terminals, and gas storage facilities - including aerial photography, roads, cities, counties and more.

Zoom-in or zoom-out as desired to view a detailed or broad map cartographic rendering over integrated Google maps.

A simple checkbox system generates a multitude of options:

• Map a single pipeline of interest.
• Overlay multiple pipelines, relevant meter points, gas storage facilities – it’s all dynamic!

Each data query generates a relevant map result - add as many or as few data points to make the map as abundant or sparse as desired. Independent of any query, the map can be adjusted to display only the data points desired.

GasMapX provides a simple query mechanism to select from the abundant information available for all flow, capacity, storage and shipper information, the data reaches back to 2008. (GasMapX also gives customers the ability to download raw data as a CSV file (Excel), if desired. This raw data can be used to resolve even the most complex analyst queries imaginable.)
